This is my annoying Facebook account.
This is my even more annoying Twitter account.
My name is Mike Jung. I play the ukulele, but not all that well. I live in Northern California with my wife and kids. I can be reached right here. I write middle grade fiction, and one day I will achieve galactic domination. I’m represented by Ammi-Joan Paquette of the Erin Murphy Literary Agency, and I have no problem telling you I have the best agent, the finest agency, and the totally bestest and most wonderfullest agent-mates in the history of everything ever. Oh yeah, my debut novel, GEEKS, GIRLS & SECRET IDENTITIES, was published by Arthur A. Levine Books, an imprint of Scholastic, Inc., on October 1 2012, and my second novel, UNIDENTIFIED SUBURBAN OBJECT, is forthcoming from AALB/Scholastic on April 26, 2016. I’ve also contributed essays to the anthologies DEAR TEEN ME (Zest Books, 2012), BREAK THESE RULES (Chicago Review Press, 2013), and 59 REASONS TO WRITE (Stenhouse, 2015). I’m immensely proud to be a founding member of the We Need Diverse Books team.
Mike, thank you for adding some laughter to my day. Loved your review of WYRM with Tara. I’m a librarian in Oakland at Redwood Day School.
Come take a look at Great Kid Books – not nearly the wit you have, but hopefully helpful to parents. 🙂
Mary Ann
Hi Mary Ann, always nice to meet a librarian, especially one from my area. I’ll definitely take a look at Great Kid Books, and thanks for commenting here!
Mike, I didn’t know you had a blog. Looks like a fun place to spend some time!! I also like people who are not mean to me.
Thanks Paul! I appreciate you stopping by, and if I’m ever mean to you, well, um, sorry? 😉
I read that you are the SCBWI North/East Bay conference master designer. Love it! Had to stop by and find out who you are. Love your wit and humor. Hope to see you at the conference this Fall.
Thanks for visiting and for the compliment Romelle, although “master designer” is FAR too extravagant a term for me!
We at Lisa & Lisa Write a Book have an award for you over on our blog, if you’d like to stop by to collect it. 🙂
hi mike. you are too modest. don’t you mean “inter-galactic” domination?
~edna 🙂
haha, looks like you’ll have to come back and edit this post after all..

Hey Mike, Wow that’s awesome! I never imagined I’d know a Famous Author, that was a former SFSU DAI Forum President… Can’t wait to see and read the real book…Take care, my friend… P.S. I hope I’ll be invited to your book signing party in the East Bay??? or have you moved with that growing family of yours?
Title sounds intriguing. Congrats on debut! Would love to see an ARC.
Wonderful. Congrats! I found you via an interview with Marie Lu. xoxo
Mike,
I stumbled upon your blog and have spent a good part of my day off wandering around your archives. AS I read your ABOUT post I found my mouth curling upwards and decided to settle in and get to know ya! So happy to meet you!
