My name is Mike Jung. I play the ukulele, but not all that well. I live in Northern California with my wife and kids. I like persimmons, rosemary potato bread, the music of the Pernice Brothers, overstuffed chairs, black coffee, baseball, and people who are not mean to me. I can be reached right here. I write middle grade fiction, and one day I will achieve galactic domination. I’m represented by Ammi-Joan Paquette of the Erin Murphy Literary Agency, and I have no problem telling you I have the best agent, the finest agency, and the totally bestest and most wonderfullest agent-mates in the history of everything ever. Oh yeah, my debut novel, GEEKS, GIRLS & SECRET IDENTITIES, was published by Arthur A. Levine Books, an imprint of Scholastic, Inc., on October 1 2012, and my second novel, UNIDENTIFIED SUBURBAN OBJECT, is forthcoming from AALB/Scholastic in 2016. I’ve also contributed essays to the anthologies DEAR TEEN ME (Zest Books, 2012), BREAK THESE RULES (Chicago Review Press, 2013), and 59 REASONS TO WRITE (Stenhouse, 2015). I’m immensely proud to be a founding member of the We Need Diverse Books team.
